Melbourne, Australia – FAW Trucks Australia has appointed RGM Maintenance as its Brisbane dealer, marking a key step in the brand’s Australian rollout.
Strengthening Queensland presence
The appointment strengthens FAW’s presence in Queensland and supports its broader strategy to build a capable, service-led dealer network across Australia.
Ben Wang, Chairman of FAW Trucks Australia, said the partnership reflects the company’s focus on practical, local support.
“We are focused on working with partners who know their local market and can support customers day to day,” Wang said.
“RGM brings strong experience in Queensland and a clear focus on service, which is important as we continue to build our network.”
Local expertise and market alignment
RGM will act as the primary dealer partner in Brisbane, with directors Russell Newman and Greg Jackson leading the relationship locally.
Russell Newman said the decision to partner with FAW was based on the capability of the brand and its relevance to the local market.
“FAW’s track record across multiple markets, and the way it has grown over time, gave us confidence in the brand,” Newman said.
“The product range also allows us to support a broad mix of customers, from lighter applications through to heavy-duty work.”
Newman said the timing aligns with current demand across the Australian trucking sector.
“There is clear demand for trucks that deliver value without stepping away from build quality,” he said.
“We see FAW as a practical option for customers who are looking closely at total cost of ownership.”
Customer support and lifecycle focus
For customers in Queensland, the appointment improves access to both product and support.
“This gives us the ability to support customers across Brisbane and the wider Queensland region,” Newman said.
“It also allows us to work with customers across the full lifecycle of the vehicle, not just the initial purchase.”
Global capability and local opportunity
FAW brings more than 70 years of truck manufacturing experience, with Australia identified as a priority market as part of its international growth.
Newman said one of the key strengths of the brand is its pace of development.
“FAW is able to bring product updates and new models to market quickly, which gives customers access to solutions that are current and relevant,” he said.
Growth outlook
Looking ahead, RGM expects the brand to gain traction across several segments.
“We see early opportunity in local distribution, tippers and agitators,” Newman said.
“Over time, there is also potential in linehaul and the rental market as the brand becomes more established.”
Further dealer appointments are expected to be announced as the network develops.
